Shooter Serhiy Kulish wins Ukraine's first silver medal at 2024 Olympics

Rifle shooting took place in several stages. First, the athletes performed three series of five shots in the kneeling and prone positions, and then two more in the standing position. After that, a series of elimination shots began.
Kulish started off confidently in third, but then took the lead. However, he could not retain it as the Ukrainian lost to the Chinese Liu Yukun, who scored 463.6 points in the end.
Thus, Kulish earned the second medal for Ukraine at this Olympics. The first award was won by fencer Olga Kharlan who got a bronze medal.
