58 bodies of Ukrainian service members from Azovstal were brought to Kyiv within the latest bodies exchange. The Azov Patronage Service Azov Angels assumes that 4 bodies belong to members of Special Operations Detachment Azov known as the Azov Regiment.

"Per previous agreements, the exchange of service members' bodies was originally planned according to formula 50 for 50. But yesterday, 58 bodies from the Azovstal plant were brought to the Ukrainian territory." says the press service of the Azov Regiment.

During the previous exchange, 162 bodies were delivered to Ukraine, of which about 40 belong to Azov Regiment service members. Per previous information, among the 58 bodies brought on June 9, 4 belong to members of the Azov Regiment.

The press service of the Azov Regiment says that Azov Patronage Service Azov Angels, headed by Olena Tolkachova, is engaged in the process of recognizing the bodies. The process of identifying the dead will be long and complicated because, in most cases, it is necessary to carry out a DNA procedure.

Azov regiment says that the burial of the fallen defenders of Azovstal (not only the members of the Azov Regiment) is planned at the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes of Azovstal which is planned to be constructed on the slopes of Dnipro River: "The burial will take place near the largest flag of Ukraine, next to the Memorial to those killed in World War II. Burial will be carried out as the bodies of the dead are identified and only with the consent of parents or close relatives."
