Additional payments to the military, new head of the ARMA, taxation of individual entrepreneurs: highlights of June 30
Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on additional payments to the military, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Olena Duma as head of the ARMA, and the Verkhovna Rada abolished the 2% tax for individual entrepreneurs. We have collected the key news for June 30.
Supplemental payments to the military are coming back
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law on the return of additional payments to the military. Servicemen and women who take part in combat operations will receive an additional 30-100 thousand hryvnias per month.
The law also provides for longer vacations for the military and restricts the right to defer mobilization.
Appointment of the Head of ARMA
The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Olena Duma as the new head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA). Before this, a member of the selection committee announced that he had withdrawn his vote for her, and Duma should have had the same number of votes as the other candidate.
Duma herself claimed pressure on the selection committee and emphasized that the law does not provide for a mechanism to withdraw a vote. She believes that the claims that her appointment will cause reputational risks for the country are unfounded.
Notice of suspicion to the MP
The Prosecutor General's Office has served a notice of suspicion to MP from the European Solidarity party, Serhii Alieksieiev. According to the investigation, he fraudulently seized the money of a German citizen. It is about 50 thousand dollars (1.8 million hryvnias).
The State Bureau of Investigation asks the court to impose on Alieksieiev a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention with the possibility of release on bail of UAH 10 million.
Notice of suspicion to kidnappers of Ukrainian children
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has issued three notices of suspicion for the transfer of 46 orphans from the Kherson orphanage. All the suspects were involved in an investigation by the hromadske investigative team.

In some areas, the Ukrainian military had partial success: in the areas of Levadne - Pryiutne, Mala Tokmachka - Ocherevatne, and Pryvillia - Zaliznianske. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are consolidating their positions. They continue to put pressure on the enemy on the flanks of Bakhmut.
At the same time, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny, and the commander of the North Serhii Naiev to strengthen the northern direction.
Abolition of 2% tax for individual entrepreneurs

The draft law also partially lifts the current moratorium on inspections for excisable goods (alcohol, tobacco, fuel), gambling, and financial services. And as of October 1, liability for violations in the use of cash registers will be restored.
