Annual program from the Ukraine-NATO Council
The Ukraine-NATO Council approved an “ambitious” work program for next year. It includes energy security and innovation, as well as connectivity.
“We discussed NATO membership, and we made recommendations on the primary reforms that should be in Ukraine, including the fight against corruption and support for people's rights. And Ukraine is now much closer to NATO than ever before,” said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
The number of deaths due to bad weather has increased
In Ukraine, 12 Ukrainians died due to bad weather. Another 23 were injured, including 2 children. The State Emergency Service said that there are currently no difficult weather conditions. Thus, in the Odessa region, all traffic restrictions have been lifted.
At the same time, President Zelenskyy ordered to increase the number of repair teams and equipment to provide people with electricity as quickly as possible. He also noted the importance of having a sufficient number of Points of Invincibility in all areas.
MP Labaziuk released from custody
People's Deputy Serhii Labaziuk was released from custody on November 28, the same day the court decided to send him to a pre-trial detention center. A bail amount of 40 million 260 thousand UAH was given for a defendant in a case of bribery of top officials.
In a comment to Babel, his lawyer said that it was not the deputy who posted the bail.
Night drone attack
On the night of November 29, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 21 Shahed-type attack drones in the direction of Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Kh-59 guided missiles from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region. Air defense destroyed all 21 “martyrs”, two guided aircraft missiles, and the third did not reach the desired target.
Metropolitan of the UOC-MP Pavlo's preventive measure was extended
The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure for the Metropolitan of the UOC MP Pavlo Lebid. He will remain under house arrest for another two months, until January 29.
