The Ukrainian government is actively considering joining an American training mission in western Ukraine, said the Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk. One of the few countries with a strong Ukrainian diaspora lobby, Canada has pledged to support its allies in maintaining pressure on Russia until the Minsk Agreement has been implemented.
While much progress remains to be completed in Ukraine, Canada is encouraged by the positive signals and developments of the Ukrainian government, said Ambassador Waschuk.
