Three children were returned to Ukraine, and soon they will be reunited with their families. This was implemented within the framework of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s action plan Bring Kids Back UA through the mediation of Qatar.
A boy born in 2008 and a girl born in 2011 were rescued from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.
The third boy, born in 2011, was returned to his mother on the territory of Georgia after his father took him to the Russian Federation without permission.
Suspicion against a deputy from Zakarpattia
Law enforcement officers announced suspicion to a deputy from the Zakarpattia region, who exploded grenades during a meeting of the Keretsky village council, under Part 2 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — a terrorist act that led to grave consequences.
The bomber has already been detained — he has regained consciousness and is in the hospital under the supervision of doctors and law enforcement officers. Subsequently, a preventive measure will be chosen for him.
As a result of the incident, 23 people were injured. According to media reports, the hospitalized 55-year-old man died from his injuries.
Destruction of Shaheds
Since the beginning of this week, on 11 December, and as of Saturday evening, 16 December, Ukrainian troops have destroyed 104 of 112 Shahed kamikaze drones.
In particular, on the night of December 16, air defense forces destroyed 30 out of 31 attack drones.
Driver's death at the border
Vice-President of the Association of International Road Carriers Volodymyr Balin said that today, December 16, the driver of a car died, who was standing in line at the Krakovets-Korcheva border checkpoint due to a strike by Polish carriers.
A total of three drivers died on the border with Poland.
In Mykolaiv, protesters were not allowed to approach the shelter
In Mykolaiv, participants in the “Money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine” campaign were not allowed into the shelter of the city council during an air raid.
