The Sunday Show: Chernobyl, Moldova in Crisis, Ukraine MP Lists

With Chernobyl on everybody’s lips following the highly successful HBO miniseries, this Sunday Show we talk to Serhii Plokhii, professor of Ukrainian history at Harvard University and author of the 2018 book “Chernobyl: History of a Tragedy”. He will share his thoughts on the crucial topic and discuss how close the directors were to the truth in portraying the events of 1986.

Since this weekend is busy with political party congresses, we will speak with Ukrainian MP Olena Sotnyk, formerly a Samopomich party lawmaker who is now joining the list of Ihor Smeshko's Syla i Chest (Strength and Honor) party in the lead up to the July 21 snap parliamentary election.

And last but not least, we will discuss the political crisis in Moldova with Vladislav Kulminski, the executive director of the Chisinau-based Institute for Strategic Initiatives.
