The Netherlands will provide another €120 million in military aid to Ukraine; in Rivne, a man threw a munition on a playground, injuring five, including a child. Here's what you may have missed from the previous night.
Explosion at a playground in Rivne
An explosion occurred in the city of Rivne in western Ukraine. According to preliminary data, an unknown man threw a munition on the playground. As a result of its detonation, five people were injured, including a young child. The police found two people who may be involved in this crime.
New military assistance from Netherlands
The Netherlands announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 120 million euros, 45 million of which will be spent on T-72 tanks. The country together with the Unites States and the Czech Republic will supply 90 modernized repaired Czech tanks. It is expected that Ukraine will receive some of the tanks in December.
Successes of the Armed Forces in the south
On November 4, the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern front destroyed three warehouses with Russian ammunition in Beryslav and Kherson districts, as well as 32 enemy troops and their equipment, Operational Command "South" reported.
They added that during the day the Russian occupation forces in the south of the country lost: four anti-aircraft and artillery systems, three tanks and three cars.
Help from AC Milan football club
Italian football club AC Milan will allocate 150,000 euros to restore the stadium damaged by shelling in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast.
The reconstruction of this stadium will be the first project under the Rebuild Ukraine program, which aims to attract external financing for the reconstruction of Ukraine. In total, the reconstruction of the damaged stadium requires 600,000 euros.
Russia votes against itself in UN
At the UN, Russia voted in favor of its own resolution condemning neo-Nazism, which mentions Russia's territorial aggression against Ukraine, said Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya.
Russia has been putting this document to a vote since 2005, but thanks to the work of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN, this year it was possible to include new wording in the resolution, as well as to completely change the balance of votes for it.
New details of Russian crimes in Bucha
Journalists of The Associated Press published an investigation into the crimes of the Russian military against civilians in Bucha. They found out that the Russians called their actions in Bucha "mopping up".
The occupiers hunted for people from the lists compiled by their special services. Those who did not pass this filtering were tortured and executed.
According to surveillance footage, Russian soldiers broke into houses, broke locks and broke through high fences with their tanks. They told locals that they were looking for weapons. According to residents, the soldiers also stole tools, electronics, food, and alcohol.
Other important news:
- the occupiers are blowing up boats and vessels near the piers and berths of the Dnipro river and its tributaries in Kherson Oblast — tons of oil and fuel ended up in the river;
- in the liberated territory of Beryslav district, Kherson Oblast, law enforcement officers found the bodies of three civilians: according to preliminary data, they were shot by Russian occupiers;
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will significantly increase exports of computer services in 2022 compared to last year.
