Explosion at ammunition exhibition and evacuation trains for Crimeans: highlights of the day

Explosion at Chernihiv ammunition exhibition

An explosion rang out in Chernihiv City at approximately 1:30 p.m. According to preliminary information, an exhibition of ammunition was taking place near the art museum, one of which detonated. As a result of the explosion, five people were injured, including four children aged 2 to 12 years.

As reported by the local authorities, an event was organized in the historical center of the city, which included an interactive activity for children. There "for some reason there was also an exhibition with military weapons, which detonated." The police started an investigation.

Evacuation trains for residents of Crimea

Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a program to evacuate Ukrainian citizens living in Crimea. They will be able to use evacuation trains from Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih and Odesa.

People are promised hot meals on the road, free medical care, allowance from Ukrposhta and the care of railway workers.

Destruction of enemy bases

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck enemy bases, in particular, they destroyed a facility housing Russian special forces. The Ukrainian military also destroyed the radio-electronic warfare equipment and the munitions warehouse of the occupiers.

During the day, the Ukrainian aviation carried out a number of strikes, as a result of which they destroyed combat equipment and a "significant amount" of the occupiers' manpower.

The air defense units of the Ukrainian forces destroyed one helicopter, three drones and five Kalibr cruise missiles.

Shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages

Around 11:30 a.m., explosions rang out in Mykolaiv. Currently, it is known about a hit in a garage in one of the districts of the city. A fire broke out there, at least one woman received shrapnel injuries.

As a result of recent shelling in Mykolaiv Oblast in the village of Bereznehuvate, four people received shrapnel wounds (two of them children) and an 8-year-old child died.

Russian occupation forces also opened fire on Zelenodolsk, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. According to preliminary data, 10 people were injured, most of them in serious condition. At least one child also died.

Russians carried out a massive shelling of one of the districts of Chernihiv Oblast: more than 50 explosions were heard there. There were no civilian casualties, but residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged.

Disconnection of the working power unit of the ZNPP

On September 3, one of the two working power units of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant captured by the Russian military was again disconnected from the grid. The IAEA says that the ZNPP continues to supply electricity through the backup line.

At the same time, the occupation "authorities" of the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhiia region announced that electricity is now flowing through the power lines only to the captured territories, and the power of two working power units at the Zaporizhzhia NPP has been reduced by half.

Bank cards to be accepted at in Kyiv public transit

The Kyiv City authorities supported the residents' petition with a call to add the possibility to pay for travel by bank card in all types of public transport. The mayor informed about the further implementation of the issue.

Explosions in the occupied territories

Explosions rang out in the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts and in occupied Sevastopol. In particular, at the Melitopol airfield, where the occupiers tried to deploy their military equipment. And in the area of ​​the Oleshky industrial zone in Kherson Oblast, ordnance detonated for at least 30 minutes.

At the same time, the occupation authorities explained the explosions in occupied Sevastopol and the smoke in the city center as military reconstruction within the military-historical festival "Russian Troy".

A new ambassador of Ukraine was approved in Germany

The candidacy of Oleksii Makeiev for the post of the new ambassador of Ukraine to Germany was approved by Berlin. The current special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on sanctions policy will replace Andrij Melnyk in this position.

According to media reports, German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has already given his consent to Makeiev's appointment. Such consent is an important step in the procedure of accreditation of new ambassadors. Makeiev is to take office on October 15.

Kadyrov hints at quitting Chechnya governor post

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that he has held his post too long and is thinking of leaving.

"We Caucasians, Chechens, have a proverb: 'No matter how honored and long-awaited the guest is, if he leaves on time, it is even more pleasant'. Therefore, I think that my time has also come before I get kicked out," Kadyrov said.

Pro-Russian rally in Prague

In the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, approximately 70,000 people came out for anti-government protests. Among other things, they demanded the lifting of sanctions against Russia and the cessation of arms supplies to Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of the country, Petr Fiala, stated that this demonstration was called by pro-Russian forces, which are close to radical positions and contradict the interests of the Czech Republic.

Losses of the occupiers

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has already lost 49,050 of its soldiers, 2,034 tanks, 4,403 armored fighting vehicles, 235 warplanes, 205 helicopters, and more in Ukraine. The Russian military suffered the most losses in the last day on the Donetsk and Kryvyi Rih axes.
