Explosions rock Kyiv immediately after declaration of air raid alert. What is known?

On the morning of March 25, a series of explosions occurred in the Ukrainian capital immediately after an air raid alert was announced.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported on the work of the air defense forces and urged residents to stay in shelters until an all-clear is given.

Smoke is visible over the city, according to online reports.

According to preliminary information from the authorities, as a result of a missile attack on Kyiv, debris was recorded falling in the Pecherskyi district. A residential building was damaged. Emergency services are on their way to the scene.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that after the explosions, emergency services received calls to the Pecherskyi, Solomyanskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts of the capital. The emergency response teams are on their way to the scene.

An air raid alert in Kyiv was announced at 10:29 a.m EET. An explosion occurred almost immediately. In total, at least three explosions were heard within a minute.
