Government dismisses First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzheppar
The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Emine Dzheppar from the post of first deputy to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, announced the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
At the end of February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Dzheppar as Ukraine's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna.
Emine Dzheppar had been the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine since June 2020. She was responsible for coordinating political and public diplomacy, cooperation within the state and with international organizations, including the EU and NATO, with Ukrainians abroad, international law, and the implementation and observance of Ukraine's international treaties.
Dzheppar also coordinated the activities of the State Institution "Ukrainian Institute", coordinated the work on the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Crimean Platform, the formation and implementation of its development strategy, and headed the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.
Prior to that, in 2011-2015, Emine Dzheppar was a journalist: she worked as a deputy editor-in-chief of ZAMAN news, a presenter and author of a number of programs on the Crimean TV channel ATR, deputy editor-in-chief of Krym.Realii (a project of Radio Liberty), etc.
