Russians are not fleeing from Kherson, but are preparing for defense

The Сhief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said that Russia only creates the illusion that everything is lost in the captured Kherson. He said this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.

According to him, right now Russian troops are not fleeing from Kherson - they are preparing for defense. However, the occupiers are conducting an information operation on the departure of collaborators and Russian structures that were brought to the captured city.

He adds that with their actions the Russians are also preparing the ground to quickly leave the city if necessary. According to the Сhief of the Main Intelligence Directorate, the occupants will have to make quick decisions if Ukrainian troops take control of at least the Kakhovka dam.
