Missile strike on maternity ward and thousands of Invincibility Points across country: last night's highlights
Russians shelled the maternity ward of a hospital in Zaporizhzhia, the authorities are preparing thousands of Invincibility Points in case of prolonged power outages, and the prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the fake surrender in Makiivka. Strike on a maternity ward
At night, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhya Oblast, a maternity ward of the hospital came under fire. “A baby who had just been born was killed,” said the head of the Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh.
Thousands of Invincibility Points
Thousands of Invincibility Points are being deployed throughout Ukraine in case of prolonged power and heat supply outages. As of November 22, more than 4 thousand such points have already been prepared. Even more of them are planned, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The work of such points will be intensified throughout Ukraine if it becomes clear that the electricity supply will not be restored in hours. Such points will provide electricity, mobile communication, and the Internet, heat, water, and a first aid kit free of charge and around the clock.
Investigation of imitation of surrender
Luhansk regional prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the treachery committed by the Russian military. According to the investigation, the occupants imitated surrender and opened fire on the Ukrainian military.
On November 12, a video of Russian servicemen killed near the village of Makiivka, Luhansk Oblast, appeared on social networks. In one of the videos circulated, the occupants probably surrendered, but it seems that one of the Russian soldiers opened fire. After that, a video with the bodies of the occupants appeared.
Manchester United terminated the contract with Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United football club officially terminated cooperation with Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo. In a statement, the club said that the decision was made “by agreement of both parties” and takes effect immediately, that is, the player will not return to the club after the 2022 World Cup.
The termination of the contract with Ronaldo occurred after his interview with journalist Piers Morgan, in which the player criticized Manchester United.
