Poland's new prime minister

On December 11, the Polish parliament, the Sejm, elected a new prime minister, Donald Tusk, having previously dismissed the government of Mateusz Morawiecki.

Earlier, he accused the government of his country, headed by Mateusz Morawiecki, of inaction on the issue of blocking the border by Polish carriers. The strike, in his opinion, "jeopardizes Polish-Ukrainian relations" and "disregards the interests of Poland."

Russia's morning attack

On December 11, explosions were heard in Kyiv even before the air raid alert, which was declared at 4:15 a.m. The Russians attacked the capital with ballistic missiles. During the repulsion of the missile attack, missile fragments fell in the Darnytskyi district of the capital. Four residents of Bortnychi were injured.

The air defense forces destroyed all eight ballistic missiles that Russian troops tried to attack Kyiv with. They also shot down all 18 launched Shahed drones, most of them in Mykolaiv Oblast.

The wreckage of the downed drones damaged agricultural warehouses and agricultural machinery in the Kutsurubska and Snihurivska communities of Mykolaiv Oblast, and private houses in the Ochakiv community.

Border blockade

The blockade of truck traffic through the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing has been lifted on the border between Poland and Ukraine. The blockade of this largest cargo crossing point had lasted for more than a month.

However, in the evening, the carriers blocked the checkpoint again. On the road from the Polish side, there is a truck with a trailer that allegedly broke down.

At the same time, Slovak haulers announced that they would resume their protest on December 11, blocking truck traffic on the border with Ukraine.

Russian losses at the front

In the east, Russian troop casualties are about eight times higher than those of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Despite this, Russia relies on human resources, said Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to him, in November alone, the Ukrainian military destroyed about 11,000 personnel of the Russian army and more than 1,100 pieces of military equipment: about 130 tanks, 260 pieces of artillery and mortars of various calibers.

Expulsion of students from Lviv Oblast

Students of a college in Lviv Oblast who beat freshmen as part of an "initiation" were expelled from the institution and evicted from their dormitory.

The Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Oblast State Administration emphasized that the seniors who committed the unacceptable actions would be held accountable after a police investigation, which was requested by the college management.
