The death toll from the Russian strike on Dnipro has risen to 20 people. About 73 people were wounded. The fate of more than 40 people is still unknown. The rescue operation continues.

A three-day mourning was declared in Dnipro on January 15.

Challenger 2 tanks

The United Kingdom has confirmed that it will send 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine in the coming weeks. The United Kingdom also plans to provide Ukraine with about 30 large AS90 self-propelled artillery weapons.

Training of the Ukrainian military on the use of tanks and cannons will begin in the coming days.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, having consulted with defense and security officials, urged allies to deliver the planned support to Ukraine for 2023 as soon as possible to achieve “maximum impact”.

Khan's Palace

Ukraine called on UNESCO to protect the Khan's Palace in Bakhchysarai, Crimea, as the occupation authorities continue to destroy this historical monument.

“Local ceasefire”

Turkey is ready to insist on a “local ceasefire” in Ukraine. Foreign Policy Advisor to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan İbrahim Kalın believes that neither Moscow nor Kyiv has the military means to win the war.

Also, according to Erdoğan's adviser, the war will end when “the West, and especially the United States, begin to treat Russia as a world power”. According to Kalın, Russia allegedly felt threatened by the expansion of NATO in Eastern Europe after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Reaction of Moldova

Moldova condemned the Russian missile attack on Ukraine on January 14. During the shelling, the remains of the missile fell on the territory of Moldova.

Armenian national football team
