Ministry of Foreign Affairs on victory of United Russia party in pseudo-elections
The so-called local elections have ended in Russia and in the occupied territories of Crimea, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, and Luhansk oblasts. The occupiers, as expected, announced the victory of representatives of the ruling United Russia party.
In a comment to hromadske, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko emphasized the nullity of Russia's "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories. According to him, there can be no legitimate results of these illegal plebiscites.
"Neither the representatives of United Russia nor any other Russian political force can gain votes in something that did not exist," the diplomat stressed.
