This was reported by Reuters who cite Japanese health officials. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Hromadske they're checking this information.
If confirmed, this will be the second Ukrainian case in 24 hours.
On February 9, the Associated Press reported, quoting the Japanese authorities, that the ship's crewmember, a Ukrainian national, contracted the virus.
Among the 66 cases announced on February 10, 45 are Japanese, 11 are Americans, four Australians, three Filipinos, one Canadiana, and the aforementioned one Ukrainian.
3,700 passengers and crew members are confined aboard the Diamond Princess docked at the Daikoku Pier Cruise Terminal in Yokohama, south of Tokyo. Out of 3,700, 25 are Ukrainian citizens.
The passengers that are confirmed to have been infected with coronavirus are sent to hospitals in Japan. The ship is currently on a two-week quarantine near the Daikoku Pier Cruise Terminal in Yokohama, south of Tokyo.
