German was journalist injured in Ukraine

Björn Stritzel, a journalist for the German edition of Bild, who covers the Russian-Ukrainian war, was wounded by shrapnel in Ukraine.

I am fine, just a cut on the forehead, most likely by a glass splinter. I was having dinner when the blast happened. I am not quite sure about the ordnance, I have not found any debris yet. I was sitting behind the window. My best guess is it was some part of a missile coming down close by,” his statement reads.

According to the journalist, the target of the Russians was probably the railway station, which is located nearby, although he has not yet seen a large crash site that could be left by missiles with a larger warhead.

The place (of the explosion — ed.) is out of range of Russian artillery and Uragan multiple rocket launcherUragan, so also possible that it was a UAV,” Stritzel added.

The man wrote that there were several explosions, and his French colleagues filmed one of the first strikes, which damaged the hotel where he was staying. However, Stritzel did not specify in which city it happened.
