Success of the Armed Forces in the south and help from the Netherlands with heating: the last night’s highlights

Success of the Armed Forces in the south

On October 13, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out seven strikes with their aircraft on the southern front. The Ukrainian military hit 4 positions of Russian air defense in Beryslav and Kakhovka Raions and destroyed three command posts, the OC "South" reported.

During the day, the Russian occupying forces in the south of the country also lost:

  • 2 Uragan and one Grad MLRS;
  • Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system;
  • electronic warfare stations;
  • two 120 mm caliber mortars;
  • three tanks.

Death of a boy in Mykolaiv

An 11-year-old boy, who was injured as a result of the shelling of the city, died in the hospital in Mykolaiv. He was under the rubble for 6 hours. This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim.

According to the official, the boy's heart stopped after he was brought to the regional hospital for dialysis.

Response in the event of a nuclear strike

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that if Russia dares to launch a nuclear attack on Ukraine, it will receive a response from the West that will destroy the Russian army. However, this response will not be nuclear.

Financing of Starlink work in Ukraine

SpaceX stated that they could no longer finance the work of Starlink in Ukraine. The company sent a letter to the Pentagon in which it asks to take over the funding, CNN writes.

According to SpaceX, more than $120 million is needed to pay for services by the end of this year and about $400 million for the next year.

“Counter-terrorist operation” regime in Belarus

The Minister of Internal Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands, Liesje Schreinemacher, announced that her country will allocate 70 million euros to Ukraine for the repair of heating systems.
