US assistance, liberation of settlements in Kherson Oblast: highlights of the day

New military assistance from the United States

The U.S. announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. It includes missiles for Hawk air defense systems, as well as Avenger air defense systems, which are equipped with Stinger missiles.

Financial assistance from Norway and Netherlands

The Norwegian government will allocate about $140 million to support Ukraine. The money will be transferred to the International Fund, headed by the United Kingdom. The Netherlands also plans to contribute 100 million euros to finance military equipment for Ukraine.

Liberation of settlements in Kherson Oblast

Since October 1, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated 41 settlements in the Kherson sector, 12 of them – on November 9. Thus, over the past day alone, the units of the Defense Forces advanced 14 km in the Kherson sector and returned 264 square kilometers of land.

Ukrainian Defense Forces entered three villages of Kherson Oblast that were still occupied by Russian troops: Bruskyne, Kyselivka and Borozenske.

Ukrainian Armed Forces in Snihurivka

Ukrainian servicemen entered the town of Snihurivka in Mykolaiv Oblast and recorded a video from there. They say that the settlement has already been liberated from the Russian occupation troops. The video was published by soldiers of the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion.

Detention of Russia Today blogger

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed four Internet agitators, including a foreign blogger, who spread fakes about the war at the request of the propaganda TV channel Russia Today. According to the investigation, the "editorial tasks" of Russia Today were performed by a citizen of one of the European countries, who settled in Chernihiv Oblast.

• Ukraine and the Czech Republic will create a joint defense cluster for the production of military equipment and ammunition;
• the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine during the current day struck 8 strikes on the occupiers. The Ukrainian military also hit the air defense facilities of the Russian occupation forces and ammunition depots;
• the Iranian military announced the development of a hypersonic missile capable of bypassing advanced air defense systems;
• the Russians are probably stockpiling missiles to launch a massive strike on Ukraine, as they have realized that single launches are not very successful;
• in the morning of November 10, investigative actions and searches continued in the building of the Dovzhenko Center, where the largest film collection of Ukraine is located. Representatives of the prosecutor's office, police and the Security Service of Ukraine are working.
