Biletsky to lead new Ukrainian force grouping defending most of Donetsk Oblast
Andrii Biletsky, commander of Ukraine's Third Army Corps, will lead a new military grouping responsible for defending most of Donetsk Oblast, his deputy Rodion Kudriashov told LIGA.net.
The new temporary command structure will be called the Center grouping. Biletsky will remain commander of the Third Army Corps while taking on the additional role.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously said Ukraine would reinforce its positions in Donetsk Oblast with two new military groupings led by Biletsky and Azov Corps commander Denys Prokopenko.
The second grouping will be called Azov, a Ukrainian defense forces source told hromadske.
