Ukraine signed security agreements with Belgium and Portugal. Security agreements with Belgium and Portugal

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed bilateral security agreements with the Prime Ministers of Belgium and Portugal, Alexander de Croo and Luis Montenegro. Already this year, within the framework of the agreements, Kyiv will receive 977 million and 126 million euros of military aid from the two countries, respectively.

In addition, Belgium plans to transfer 30 of its F-16 fighters to Ukraine by 2028. The first aircraft should be delivered by the end of this year.

Russia seeks to open a new front in the north

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that Russia's goal is to open a new front in the north of Ukraine. In addition, he stated that the Russian Federation currently has about 500,000 troops in Ukraine and near its borders and is preparing to attract another 200,000-300,000 soldiers.

Pre-trial restriction against Yermak's ex-deputy

The High Anti-Corruption Court elected a preventive measure for the former deputy head of the Office of the President Andriy Smirnov, who is suspected of illegal enrichment for 15.7 million hryvnias ($388,831). He was handed down bail in the amount of 10 million hryvnias ($247,663).

The Netherlands wants to assemble the Patriot system for Ukraine

The Netherlands wants to assemble a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in a short period of time and present it to Ukraine. Other countries that are armed with this air defense system are also urged to join.

Macron supported permission to strike targets in Russia from which Ukraine is being attacked

French President Emmanuel Macron said that Ukraine should be allowed to attack objects on the territory of Russia, from which missile strikes are launched on Ukraine. At the same time, he noted that other targets should not be allowed.

Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that some EU countries have changed their position regarding the use of weapons provided to Ukraine to strike targets on the territory of Russia.

Prohibition on gambling advertising

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the resolution "Some issues of counteracting the negative consequences of gambling on the Internet." The decision provides for a ban on all forms of gambling advertising.

Detention of the ex-head of the Odesa regional military commissariat Borysov

Law enforcement officers detained Yevhen Borysov, the former head of the Odesa regional military recruitment center, after a bail of 12 million hryvnias ($297,196) was posted for him on a previous charge.

He was also indicted with organizing the legalization of property obtained by criminal means in particularly large amounts.

In Kharkiv, one more person was found dead at the site of the attack on Epicenter mall

At the site of the Russian attack on May 25 in the Epicenter hypermarket in Kharkiv, the remains of another person were found - the 18th person killed.

So far, investigators have identified 16 bodies of the dead. These are 12 employees of the hypermarket and four visitors. Two people remain missing. 48 people were injured.
