Bus accident in Romania

On the night of June 17, an accident involving a truck and a bus carrying 57 Ukrainian citizens occurred in the Romanian county of Constanta. Among them were 42 minor passengers and 15 adults.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, four of the passengers, including two children, were taken to the hospital. Another 15 people were treated on the spot. After all the victims underwent a medical examination, they continued their trip on another bus.

DIU attacks facilities in Russia

A Ukrainian intelligence source told Hromadske that on the night of June 17, Ukrainian intelligence drones attacked facilities in Belgorod, Voronezh, and Lipetsk regions.

One of the targets was the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant and a local tractor plant, both of which are used by Russia for military purposes. In the area of these facilities, local residents heard the sounds of explosions and air defense systems.

Suspicion of a former employee of the Ministry of Education and Science

A former employee of the Ministry of Education and Science, Andrii Vasylenko, has been notified of suspicion of humiliation of national honor. Last year, in a Facebook post, he devalued Ukraine's independence and praised the Soviet occupation of Lithuania.

The former official was suspected under Committing intentional actions aimed at humiliating national honor and dignityPart 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces a fine, or Detention in open-type penitentiary institutions without isolation from society under supervision with mandatory involvement of the convicted person in workrestriction of liberty for up to 5 years, or even imprisonment for up to 3 years.

Most Ukrainians do not doubt Zelenskyy's legitimacy

The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology has released the results of a poll, according to which 70% of respondents believe that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy should remain in office until the end of martial law. At the same time, 22% of Ukrainians disagreed.

Artur Horbenko, commander of the 125th Territorial Defense Brigade, which defended Kharkiv region, said he was resigning. He did not specify the reason for his resignation, but noted that he would continue to serve in the Armed Forces.

In May, the State Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation into the breach of the state border in the Kharkiv region by Russian troops, which involved the command of the 125th Brigade.

Shelling of Poltava region

On the afternoon of June 17, Russian troops shelled Poltava region. The enemy hit a civilian infrastructure building. As a result of the enemy attack, 22 people were injured. Among them are three children.
