Attack on border guard, strike on mail terminal in Kharkiv: June 30 highlights

A border guard was attacked in Chernivtsi Oblast
On the border of Chernivtsi Oblast, two men attacked a State Border Guard Service officer with a machete and a gas canister. In order to save his life, the border guard opened fire - one of the attackers died, the other was wounded.
Zelenskyy's interview
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave an interview to the American publication Philadelphia Inquirer. In it, he stated that the leaders of both US parties do not support Ukraine's membership in NATO.
Also, according to him, Ukraine and the West have different understandings of victory in the Russo-Ukrainian war. At the same time, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine currently has only one model of negotiations with Russia. It includes the involvement of countries from different continents.
In addition, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is currently losing one soldier on the battlefield, while Russia is losing six occupiers. Such a ratio is fixed on the Kharkiv and Pokrovsk axes.
A strike on Kharkiv and Kyiv
Russian troops targeted the Nova Poshta terminal in Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb. Nine people were injured, including an 8-month-old child. One man died. He was a post office worker.
In Kyiv, fragments of a missile fell on a 14-story building. Five victims turned to doctors. All are women with an acute reaction to stress. One elderly woman was hospitalized.
The Russian Federation reported an attack on the metallurgical plant in Lipetsk
In Russia, they said that the Ukrainian military, with the help of drones, allegedly attacked the Novolipetsk metallurgical plant located in Lipetsk.
One of the drones allegedly damaged the oxygen separation plant, four more drones tried to attack the oxygen station building.
The OSCE recognized the war against Ukraine as genocide
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe adopted a resolution recognizing Russia's actions as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
Also, all 53 OSCE member states called for efforts to de-occupy Crimea and all captured territories of Ukraine by supporting the "peace formula" and the Crimean platform.
Bezugla will file a complaint against Syrskyi with the State Criminal Investigation Department
People's deputy Maryana Bezugla said that she decided to file a complaint against the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
According to her, Syrsky violated Article 351 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This article regulates responsibility for obstructing the activities of an MP.
A pro-Russian patriarch was elected in Bulgaria
Metropolitan Daniel of Vienna became the new patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Earlier, he claimed that Ukraine was as responsible for the war as Russia, and believed that believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate were being persecuted because of their faith.
The far right is winning the elections in France
Early parliamentary elections have started in France. The official results are still unknown, but according to exit polls, Marine Le Pen's far-right party National Rally won. She advocates anti-immigration policy, Euroscepticism, and reducing military support for Ukraine.
