There will be no more daylight-saving time
The Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of a draft law canceling the switch from winter time to summer time. The motion was supported by 261 lawmakers.
This means that this year, on the last Sunday of October in Ukraine, the hands of the clock will be switched to winter time for the last time. However, at the end of March 2025 and beyond, clocks will no longer be advanced to daylight saving time.

Roberta Metsola was re-elected as the head of the European Parliament - she will hold this position for another two and a half years.
Traitors can be deprived of state awards
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, initiated a draft law on the deprivation of state awards to those who committed illegal actions against Ukraine. He asked the Verkhovna Rada to consider it in the near future.
According to the head of state, awards, including the title of Hero of Ukraine, the Order of Merit and others, will be taken away from those who "did not choose Ukraine for themselves — chose the enemy and now support Russia in one way or another or are in its territory at all."
Defense Forces withdrew from Krynky
Ukrainian units withdrew from the village of Krynky in Kherson Oblast, a source of public broadcaster Suspilne reported. According to the military units in this sector, this happened a few weeks ago.
News agency Liga.net, with reference to sources in the General Staff of the Armed Forces, also reported the withdrawal from Krynky. Besides, according to the outlet, the military also left the village of Urozhayne in Donetsk Oblast.
Bail was posted for Chervinskyi
The charitable foundation of Poroshenko, the ex-president and current lawmaker, posted bail for ex-intelligence officer Roman Chervinskyi. He was supposed to be released today.
Earlier today, July 16, European Solidarity MP Iryna Herashchenko said that her faction was contributing to the bailout, and its legislators were ready to stand surety for Chervinskyi.
