What is known about the attack?

On the night of August 3, the Ukrainian military attacked the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region of Russia.

As an informed source told hromadske, the Morozovsk airfield housed Russian air defense systems, aircraft and warehouses with missile launchers, which Russians use to shell Ukrainian cities. The special operation was conducted jointly by the Defense Intelligence, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defense Forces.

Ukrainian drones were able to hit the ammunition depot, which, among other things, stored guided aerial bombs.

Morozovsk has already been attacked several times. For example, on the night of June 14, fighter jets were attacked. This attack was confirmed by the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov. The Kyiv Post, citing sources, wrote that at least 6 military aircraft were destroyed and 8 more damaged.

Another strike was recorded on the night of July 22. Then a fire broke out at the airfield.
