The father of journalist Viktoria Roshchyna, who used to work for hromadske, received the news of her death during her transfer from Taganrog to Moscow. Later, this was confirmed by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

The representative of the Coordination Headquarters Petro Yatsenko said that Viktoria Roshchyna was being prepared for exchange, but "unfortunately, we failed to do it in time": "The fact that she was being transferred from Taganrog to Moscow was the stage of her preparation for release."

Strike on the airfield in Adygea

Russia announced a drone attack on the Khanskaya airfield, which is near the city of Maykop in the Republic of Adygea. A fire broke out there, which, in particular, was recorded by the NASA fire monitoring system.

Subsequently, the General Staff of the Armed Forces confirmed the successful engagement of the Russian airfield, in which the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces were involved.

An ammunition warehouse located on the property of a military facility was hit. Su-34 and Su-27 aircraft were based at the airfield.

The parliament approved tax increases

Members of the Verkhovna Rada voted by 247 votes in favor of the draft law on raising taxes. Among the innovations are a 10% military levy for groups 1, 2, and 4 of sole proprietors, the establishment of a 1% income tax for group 3 sole proprietors, monthly reporting on personal income tax, etc.

At the same time, the lawmakers rejected an amendment to increase the military levy for military personnel — it will remain at the level of 1.5% instead of the proposed 5%.

Indictment of soldier Hnezdilov

Serhiy Hnezdilov, a serviceman of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, who publicly voluntarily left the military unit, was charged with desertion. For this, he faces up to 12 years in prison. A military preventive measure will be chosen in the near future.

Zelenskyy does not agree to freeze the war

The Italian outlet Corriere della Sera wrote that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will never recognize the occupation of part of the Ukrainian territories, but he allegedly agrees to freeze hostilities on the current front line.

In exchange for this, the Ukrainian president allegedly seeks to obtain security guarantees from the West. Dmytro Lytvyn, adviser to the president of Ukraine on communication, said that the journalists' information is "false", and reminded that Ukraine's position on the end of the war is set out in the "peace formula".
