General Staff confirms the strike on Russian oil depot in Engels
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirms the strike on the Kristall oil refinery in Engels, Saratov region of Russia.
This is reported in a statement by the General Staff of Ukraine.
It said that the facility was attacked by units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Unmanned Systems Forces in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces.
The General Staff says that numerous explosions were recorded in the area of the target, and a large-scale fire broke out. Local authorities confirm the hit to an “industrial facility”.

View in Telegram.The military also emphasized that this oil depot provided fuel to the Engels-2 military airfield, where Russian strategic aviation is based.
“The destruction of the oil depot creates serious logistical problems for the strategic aviation of the Russian occupiers and significantly reduces their ability to strike at peaceful Ukrainian cities and civilian facilities,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
