Russians blew up pipes of Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal to accelerate offensive on Chasiv Yar – Luhansk grouping

Russian military blew up the pipes of the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal near Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast to accelerate the offensive on the city, Dmytro Zaporozhets, the spokesman for the Luhansk operational-tactical troop grouping said during the national telethon.

According to him, the Russian troops blew up the pipes to create passages for the use of equipment during the offensive on Chasiv Yar — probably even motorcycles. Zaporozhets also noted that blowing up the canal pipes could help the aggressor establish logistics to support the advancing Russian invasion forces.

Overall, over the past week, the enemy's pressure on the positions of the Defense Forces has significantly increased, the spokesman for the Luhansk troop grouping added. The Russians have also begun to use armored vehicles more actively.

As for the Russian unit Akhmat, which was previously seen in the battles at Chasiv Yar, Dmytro Zaporozhets said that it is difficult to assess their training, since close combat does not occur so often. The enemy mainly pressures the positions of the Defense Forces with artillery and drones.
