Kryvyi Rih attacked by Russian missiles: civilian infrastructure hit, one person killed

Russian troops launched a missile assault on Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast early on Tuesday, March 12, targeting civilian infrastructure and sparking a fire, according to Serhiy Lysak, head of the regional military administration, and Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s defense council.

The strike hit a civilian infrastructure site, leaving two people initially hospitalized.

In addition, a 47-year-old woman riding a trolleybus near the impact zone was killed, officials said. Emergency crews rushed to the scene.

At 9:10 a.m., Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported a second missile strike as rescuers worked the site. No responders were hurt, but their equipment was damaged.

Vilkul updated that nine people were injured, with two in serious condition and one in critical condition.
