Air defense neutralizes most of Russian drones that attacked Ukraine

Overnight, Russian forces struck Ukraine using 131 Shahed and other drones, as reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.

57 Shahed and other drones were shot down in the north, east and center of the country. Another 45 enemy drones disappeared from radar without causing any fallout.

In addition to the drones, the Russians also fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Kursk Oblast. However, the Ukrainian military did not report their interception.

Several oblasts of Ukraine were affected by the night attack, including Kharkiv Oblast. In Kharkiv, a drone hit a workshop building, damaging the windows of three apartment buildings, the glazing and facade of a kindergarten building, and two cars. Three people were injured there — they suffered acute stress reactions and abrasions to their knees.

In addition, in Kharkiv, two Shaheds hit the roof of a production building and a warehouse, causing a fire. And in Derhachi, Kharkiv district, a drone hit set grass on fire, said regional governor Oleg Synegubov.

Sumy, Donetsk, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr oblasts also suffered damage from Russian strikes.
