Russia shells Kostiantynivka: one dead, child among wounded

On April 7, Russians shelled Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, killing at least one person, as announced by the Donetsk Oblast governor Vadym Filashkin.

Two people were injured in the shelling, including a 9-year-old girl. The child was injured at home and suffered shrapnel wounds. The family had previously been evacuated from the danger zone, but in March they returned to Kostiantynivka.

Also, as a result of Russian shelling in the city, eight private houses, three administrative buildings, a shop, and a power line were destroyed.

Situation in the region

According to the Donetsk regional authorities, as of the morning of April 7, Russians had shelled settlements in Donetsk Oblast 19 times. In Pokrovsk, a high-rise building was damaged, and in Rodynske, a high-rise building and a garage were damaged.

In Zarichne, Lyman community, Russian shelling destroyed a house, in Siversk, eight houses, and in Illinivka community, 45 objects were damaged.

78 people were evacuated from the front line, including 14 children.
