Drones target Russian town housing brigade linked to Sumy attack
On the morning of April 16, the Russian town of Shuya in Ivanovo Oblast was hit by a drone attack targeting the base of the 112th Guards Missile Brigade, which Ukraine says struck Sumy days earlier, killing dozens, according to Russian Telegram channels Astra and Shot.
Local authorities have not officially confirmed the attack, but videos showing a drone strike surfaced online.

View in Telegram.The Telegram channel Shot reported that five Ukrainian Liut (‘Fury’) drones targeted Shuya, claiming all were shot down. Russia’s Defense Ministry, cited by state-run RIA Novosti, later said seven drones were intercepted.
The Telegram channel Mash reported casualties and said partial evacuations of hospitals, schools, and universities were underway in Shuya.
The 112th Guards Missile Brigade is based in Shuya’s Yuzhnoye Gorodok district. Ukraine’s intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, said this brigade carried out a strike on Sumy on Palm Sunday, April 13.
