Drones strike Moscow Oblast, hit technopark, drone factory

Drones attacked Moscow and its suburbs overnight and into Wednesday, targeting the Elma Technopark and Kronshtadt drone factory, suspending airport operations, with 29 drones downed, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported.

Sobyanin said air defenses repelled the attack, downing 29 drones by 7:00 a.m., with debris falling in several districts but no casualties reported.

Explosions were also heard in Zelenograd, Moscow Oblast, where social media videos and Russian Telegram channels, cited by OSINT resources, showed strikes on the Elma Technopark, which develops microelectronics, radio electronics, and optical instruments.

The Kronshtadt factory in Moscow Oblast, a producer of military drones, was also hit.

The attacks disrupted operations at some of Moscow’s airports, causing flight cancellations and delays.

Neither Russian nor Ukrainian authorities commented officially on the attack.
