Ukraine's Defense Forces strike Tambov Gunpowder Plant. Explosions heard near ammo dump, airfield

Overnight into Wednesday, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important facilities in the Russian Federation, as reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the General Staff.

Fighters of the 14th separate regiment of the USF’s Unmanned Aviation Complexes, in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces, struck the Tambov Gunpowder Plant, located in the town of Kotovsk, about 350 km from the border with Ukraine. A fire was recorded on its premises.

This is one of the main facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex, involved in the armed aggression against Ukraine. It produces gunpowder for various types of small arms, artillery and rocket systems, as well as colloxylin, which is used to create various explosives.

In addition, the General Staff indicates that the explosions occurred near the ammunition depot of the 106th Airborne Division in Kursk Oblast and the Buturlinovka airfield in Voronezh Oblast. The details about the damage are being clarified.
