Russia’s overnight drone assault on Odesa leaves one dead, 17 injured

A Russian drone attack on Odesa overnight into Tuesday killed a 60-year-old woman and injured 17 people, damaging civilian infrastructure, Odesa Oblast governor Oleh Kiper and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported.

Kiper said the assault struck residential buildings, an inclusive center, a preschool, garages, and other civilian objects..

As of 7:30 a.m., 13 people were hospitalized as a result of the attack. The regional governor reported that there may still be people under the rubble.

As of 8:57 a.m., Interior Minister Klymenko confirmed one death—a 60-year-old woman—and 17 injured.

Emergency services are working at the scene of the impact.
