Ukrainian defenses down 74 Russian drones during overnight attack

Overnight into Monday, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 107 drones of various types, with Ukrainian air defenses neutralizing 74, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.

The air assault was countered by aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. A total of 74 Russian drones were neutralized across northern, eastern, and southern Ukraine—64 were shot down with firepower, and 10 were lost to radar or suppressed by electronic warfare.

The primary targets of the Russian strike were the Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts. Drone hits were recorded at 15 locations, with debris from downed drones falling at two additional sites.

Earlier, local authorities and rescuers reported a drone attack on Kharkiv Oblast. In the town of Pisochyn, a drone struck an auto repair station, injuring eight people. Drones also damaged civilian buildings in Derhachi and the village of Kurortne.
