40 drones downed, 39 lost to radar: Air Force reports another nighttime attack by Russia on Ukraine

In the early hours of Wednesday, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 114 Shahed attack drones and other UAVs, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

The missiles were launched from Russia’s Kursk Oblast, while the drones were deployed from Bryansk, Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Through coordinated efforts, Ukraine’s air defenses neutralized 79 Shahed drones and other UAVs across the country’s northern, eastern, and southern regions. Of these, 40 were shot down using firepower, and 39 were either lost to radar or suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) measures.

The Air Force reported enemy drone strikes hitting 14 locations and debris from downed drones falling in two locations.
