Russia targets Lutsk, western Ukraine in latest combined assault

In the early hours of Wednesday, Russian forces conducted another large-scale attack on Ukraine, targeting Lutsk, Kyiv Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ternopil Oblast, and Khmelnytskyi Oblast.

In Lutsk, Mayor Ihor Polishchuk reported that Russian strikes caused fires at a garage cooperative and a local enterprise. No fatalities were reported.

According to Polishchuk, this was the most intense attack on the city since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Volyn Oblast governor Ivan Rudnytskyi stated that the enemy used five missiles and 30 drones to strike Lutsk.

Kyiv Oblast was targeted with attack drones. According to regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk, a woman sustained injuries, including a closed chest fracture.

Explosions were also reported in Ternopil, which came under attack from cruise missiles and strike drones. No official reports on the consequences were released.

In Khmelnytskyi Oblast, governor Serhiy Tiurin reported that the attack damaged the roof and a wall of a private house.
