Russian strikes kill 1, damage Mukachevo, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles and drones overnight, targeting Mukachevo in Zakarpattia Oblast, Lviv, Lutsk, and Zaporizhzhia, according to regional authorities.

In Mukachevo, a missile strike on a local enterprise caused a large-scale fire, with rescue services responding, the Mukachevo City Council reported. Residents were urged to keep windows tightly closed and avoid going outside unless necessary.

Ten people were transported to St. Martin’s Hospital by ambulance, with two others seeking treatment independently. Five patients remain in stable condition under hospital care.

Mayor Andriy Baloha noted that the targeted civilian enterprise provided jobs for thousands in the community and region.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that Lviv was struck by Shahed drones and a missile, with the attack hitting Olena Stepanivna Street, as it did a month prior.

Preliminary reports indicate injuries, with dozens of homes damaged by the blast wave, including windows and roofs.

According to preliminary data from Lviv Oblast Military Administration head Maksym Kozytskyy, the combined attack in Lviv killed one person and injured two, with dozens of residential buildings damaged.

Zaporizhzhia was also targeted, with two strikes damaging several industrial infrastructure sites, said regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov. The blast wave shattered windows in nearby homes.

Lutsk came under attack as well, and Kyiv reported active air defense operations.
