Sumy facing power, water shortages after Russian drone attack

A massive overnight Russian drone attack targeted the outskirts of Sumy, Ukraine, disrupting critical infrastructure and causing significant power and water supply issues, according to Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, and Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy.

The attack left parts of the city without electricity, with all water utility facilities de-energized and switched to emergency backup power.

Authorities are working to restore services, but the power outage has halted electric public transport, leaving only buses operational.

Water supply will be limited throughout the day, delivered on a schedule with reduced pressure, and upper floors of high-rise buildings will face water shortages due to non-functional booster pumps.
