Russian drone barrage damages energy infrastructure in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Russian forces launched a massive drone assault on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight, with Ukrainian air defenses downing 37 of the unmanned aircraft, regional governor Serhiy Lysak reported.
The official said some drones struck their targets in Pavlohrad, Kamyanske and the Synelnykove district, igniting fires and damaging energy infrastructure.
Additional destruction hit transport and industrial facilities. A 19-year-old man was wounded in the attack and hospitalized in moderate condition.
DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, said emergency power outages were imposed in the region.
Lysak added that Russian troops had struck the Nikopol district, as well as the Pokrovsk and Marhanets territorial communities, the previous day using drones and rocket artillery.
