Zelenskyy confirms 'long-range Neptune' strikes on Russian targets
Ukrainian troops struck Russian territory overnight into Friday using long-range Neptune missiles, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, calling it a just response to Moscow's ongoing attacks.
"Overnight our warriors successfully used “Long Neptunes” against designated targets on Russian territory – and this is our entirely just response to Russia’s ongoing terror," Zelenskyy wrote. "Ukrainian missiles are delivering increasingly significant and precise results virtually every month."
Zelenskyy also said that during the night's massive Russian attack, air defense systems including Patriot and others downed 14 Russian missiles, specifically two aeroballistic and six ballistic ones.
"We will continue strengthening this component of our air defense – with systems capable of shooting down ballistic missiles," the president added.
Open-source intelligence resources reported an attack on the Saratov oil refinery in Russia that night.
