Russian forces launch overnight assault on Ukraine with Iskander missiles, drones

Russian forces fired two Iskander ballistic missiles and 90 strike drones at Ukraine overnight into Wednesday, Ukraine's Air Force reported.

The aggressor launched the missiles and drones from Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Hvardiyske in occupied Crimea.

About 55 of the drones were Shaheds, with the rest Gerberas and other types.

Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups from the Defense Forces repelled the aerial assault.

As of 9 a.m., air defenses had downed 72 Russian drones over the north, south and east.

Missile and 10 drone hits were recorded at 10 locations.

The attack was ongoing as of 9:10 a.m., with several enemy drones still in Ukrainian airspace.
