Russia attacks Ukraine with 2 ballistic missiles, 138 drones
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 138 strike drones overnight into Thursday. Air defenses destroyed 114 targets, Ukraine's Air Force reported.
The Russians launched the missiles from Rostov Oblast, and the drones from Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, as well as from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. Of the 138 drones, 85 were Shahed models.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems subunits, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
As a result of combat operations, air defenses destroyed 114 Russian drones in the north, south and east of the country.
The military recorded impacts from the ballistic missiles and 24 strike drones at 14 locations.
