Ukraine debunks Russian claim of capturing Dobropillia in Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Russian propaganda is spreading fakes that enemy soldiers allegedly control Dobropillia near Huliaypole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. However, this is a lie, according to Ukraine's General Staff.
Military officials said a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group infiltrated the village outskirts, taking advantage of weather conditions. The group has now been destroyed, and the settlement remains under Ukrainian Armed Forces control.
During counter-sabotage operations, three more Russian soldiers were killed on the approach to Dobropillia. Two others, tasked with displaying Russian flags in the allegedly captured village, were eliminated shortly after.
Ukraine’s Assault Troops Commander Lt. Gen. Valentyn Manko said the situation around Huliaypole has been escalating gradually, not suddenly. He stressed there was no encirclement of Ukrainian units in the sector.
Manko stated that the Huliaypole axis sees 20-40 clashes per day but added that he "sees no critical situation."
