Ukraine destroyed Su-27 and Su-30 jets in Russia's Lipetsk – Ukrainian Intelligence
A saboteur, acting with the support of Ukrainian intelligence, set ablaze Su-27 and Su-30 jets stationed in protective hangars at the airfield in the Russian city of Lipetsk, reports Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence (HUR).
Ukraine’s Intelligence had been preparing this operation for two weeks. It was carried out by a representative of the resistance movement to the Russian regime on the night of December 21.
As a result, the Su-27 and Su-30 jets with tail numbers 12 and 82, which Russia used in the war against Ukraine, were set ablaze. Their approximate cost may be up to 100 million dollars.
Thanks to studying the patrol routes and guard changing schedules, the saboteur was able to infiltrate the airfield, set fire to the jets, and leave the military facility unnoticed, the Intelligence says.
