Oil terminals burn in Russia's Krasnodar Krai port after drone attack

A fire broke out at oil terminals in the port in Volna settlement, Krasnodar Krai of Russia, following a “massive attack.” The strike resulted in fatalities, according to the regional operational headquarters and Krasnodar Krai governor Veniamin Kondratyev.

They did not specify the type of weapon used in the attack on the region, but Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed intercepting drones.

According to the reports, three port terminal workers were killed and eight others injured. Four tanks with petroleum products caught fire at the terminals, but the operational headquarters claims the blaze was extinguished by morning.

At the end of December 2025 the port in Taman settlement in Volna was already targeted by drones. At that time two vessels, two piers and a pipeline were damaged. Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence claimed responsibility for striking the Tamanneftegaz sea oil terminal.
