Russia launches 105 drones at Ukraine overnight with seven locations hit

Russian forces launched 105 drones at Ukraine overnight into Thursday, with air defenses downing or suppressing 84 of them while 18 strikes hit seven locations across the country, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.

The drones were launched from Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiyske in Crimea.

About 70 were Shahed attack drones, with others including Gerbera, Italmas, and various models.

As of 8:30 a.m., shoot-downs and electronic warfare suppression occurred over northern, southern, central, and eastern regions.

Consequences of the overnight attack

Among the impacts, Zaporizhzhia Oblast was hit hardest: Russian drones struck a detached housing neighborhood in Vilniansk, killing three people and wounding three others.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, four districts came under attack, with two men aged 43 and 34 injured in the Synelnykove district, the State Emergency Service reported.

In Odesa, drones targeted an infrastructure facility with no initial reports of casualties, according to Odesa City Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak.
