Ukraine's General Staff verifies Flamingo hit on Russia's Votkinsk plant workshop
Ukraine’s General Staff has confirmed that a February 20 strike using domestically produced Flamingo missiles destroyed production workshop No. 22 at Russia’s Votkinsk Machine Building Plant in Udmurtia, the facility that manufactures Iskander-M and Oreshnik missiles, according to the General Staff’s social media statement.
Damage to workshop No. 22 has now been verified following the attack.
Earlier unofficial reports, including from the Telegram channel Astra, indicated that workshops No. 22 and No. 36 were hit. Head of the Udmurt Republic Alexander Brechalov acknowledged an attack on “one of the facilities in the republic” and reported 11 people injured.
Co-owner of Fire Point, the company that produces the Flamingo missile, Denys Shtilerman posted video of a launch captioned “No context. Context later.”
The General Staff subsequently confirmed the use of Flamingo missiles against the plant. The Telegram channel “Spy Dossier” published purported footage showing a missile striking a building.
